HUMIDITY & MOISTURE: 50-60% with exceptional ventilation. Coming from arid Spanish regions, they are highly sensitive to stagnant, stuffy air and soggy conditions. They require a very strict, sharp moisture gradient inside the enclosure; one corner must hold a moist sphagnum moss station for hydration, while the remaining two-thirds of the setup must remain completely bone-dry.

DIETARY NEEDS: Their base diet relies heavily on a constant supply of organic leaf litter and crumbling white-rotted wood. Because they are a massive giant species, their protein requirements are exceptionally high. They must be frequently supplemented with high-quality protein choices like dried shrimp, fish flakes, minnows, or mealworms. Additionally, a permanent, heavy supply of calcium—such as cuttlefish bone or natural limestone—is absolutely vital to support their massive exoskeletons during molting cycles.
