3. Orders and Contract Formation
All orders placed through our Website are offers to purchase. A legally binding contract is formed only when we send you an Order Confirmation email. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for reasons including, but not limited to, stock unavailability, pricing errors, or failure of payment clearance.
4. Livestock & Live Arrival Guarantee
We take pride in the quality of our isopods. Our Live Arrival Guarantee (LAG) applies under the following conditions:
  • Transit times: Packages must be received and signed for on the first delivery attempt, or collected from your local depot on the day of arrival.
  • Reporting Dead on Arrival (DOA): In the rare event of DOAs, you must contact us via email with clear photographic evidence of the deceased isopods in their unopened, original shipping container within 24 hours of delivery.
  • Resolution: Valid DOA claims will be resolved either via store credit or a replacement of the lost livestock (excluding shipping costs).
5. Shipping Delays and Delivery Liability
We use third-party UK tracked delivery services to dispatch your orders.
  • No Refunds for Courier Delays: Once a package leaves our facility, transit times are entirely outside of our control. Consequently, we do not offer refunds, partial refunds, or cancellations due to courier delays, postal strikes, or transit disruptions.
  • LAG Priority: If a shipment is delayed by the courier but the isopods arrive alive and healthy, no refund or compensation will be issued for the transit delay. If a courier delay directly results in a DOA, your order remains fully covered by our Live Arrival Guarantee (Section 4), provided you submit photographic proof within 24 hours of delivery.
  • Address Accuracy: It is your responsibility to ensure your shipping address is entirely accurate. We cannot be held liable for delayed or lost packages due to incomplete or incorrect address details.
6. Weather-Related Delays
The welfare of live cargo is our highest priority.
  • Dispatch Decisions: We closely monitor regional forecasts and reserve the right to hold and delay shipments if extreme weather temperatures (excessive heat or freezing cold) pose a threat to livestock survival.
  • Postponement, Not Cancellation: Delays caused by extreme weather do not entitle the buyer to a cash refund or immediate order cancellation. Your order will be securely held in our facility and prioritized for dispatch as soon as weather conditions safely permit transit.
7. Emergency Dispatch Delays
As a small, independently run business, there may be rare occasions where unexpected personal emergencies occur.
  • Defined Emergencies: This includes sudden physical illness, mental health crises, or severe personal injury that temporarily restricts our ability to safely pack and dispatch live cargo.
  • Fulfillment Priority: In the event of such an emergency, your order will not be cancelled, and cash refunds will not be issued for the delay. Instead, dispatch will be temporarily paused to ensure the safety of the livestock. We will contact you as soon as reasonably possible, and your order will be safely held until operational capacity resumes.
8. Cancellations and Returns (Distance Selling)
Under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have the right to cancel your order for non-livestock items up to 14 days after the day you receive the goods.
  • Livestock Exception: Please note that live animals are exempt from the statutory 14-day cooling-off period due to their perishable nature.
  • Return Costs: If you cancel a non-livestock physical order, you must cover the cost of returning the item to us in its original, unopened condition.
9. Pricing and Payments
Prices displayed on terrapodsuk.com are in British Pounds (£) and include applicable taxes. We reserve the right to alter prices at any time, but orders already confirmed will not be affected. Payments are processed through secure gateways; your financial details are never stored by us.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, terrapodsuk.com shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the misuse of our products or the escape of livestock. Our total liability shall not exceed the total price paid for the specific products.

12. Governing Law
