How fast do Porcellio Laevis breed?

Porcellio laevis are one of, if not the fastest breeding isopods that the hobby has ever seen. They come in the morphs, orange, dairy cow, snow white and milkback. Milk backs and snow whites come from the dairy cow line, and can all interbreed to make a variety of patterns (but not a stable morph), whereas the oranges aren't true Porcellio laevis, and are actually something very closely related, making it so they cannot product offspring together.

To answer the question, Porcellio Laevis isopods breed at a remarkable rate, they have broods very large, up to 60 babys in some cases every 4-6 weeks. One thing that they will struggle significantly without is protein and calcium, protein ensures that their bodys can keep up with the physical demand for all the babys they prouct and their fast growing speed, and they also need calcium to ensure that they can molt properly. (No calcium = bad molt = death in most cases) That is why I always tell peope that calcium supplements are essential in all isopods, especially Porcellio Laevis
